Connor continued to flip the stone idly between his fingers, listening as Jake talked. To him it sounded like something that the other guy had been sitting on for some time, not really talking much about his life before now. So Connor just nodded vaguely, encouraging him silently to go on. The mention of the crows gets a soft, vague smile, tilted on one side and barely there.
"I get the impression that animals aren't really a thing here besides your crows. I didn't hear anything out there in the woods when I had to walk here besides occasional crows and some insects. If this isn't the real world it makes sense the wildlife is limited."
He finally let himself relax, stripping off the outer layer of his button-up and hanging it off the corner of the bed then kicking off his shoes and laying back with his hands atop his stomach.
"At least everyone here that I've seen seems willing to cooperate with eachother. Guess I'll see if that extends to these 'trials' too."
